Active participation in horse shows is a key component of Windemere’s client services. Our riders show nearly year-round at the state, local and even national level. For clients with their own horses, we develop riders and their mounts to continuously grow in their showing achievements. For clients without their own horse, lesson horses and leased horses are available for showing at local shows all the way up to national events.
Our goal is to take our clients to the next level and showcase their riding skills at competitions. We show at ARHA and ApHC events as well as 4-H and local circuit shows.
Every year our riders achieve State and National titles. Windemere takes a balanced approach to showing with equal focus on good sportsmanship, achieving personal goals, horse and rider safety, winning as well as fun.
Come show with us!
We attend schooling and rated shows, First Coast Hunter/Jumper, 4-H and Jacksonville Equestrian Center shows. All levels of showing students are able to attend shows at the local level. Typically these shows run on the weekends and are more achievable for getting started showing and students who aren’t able to travel to show. Lesson and leased horses available for local showing.
Windemere is an Appaloosa barn (but we do welcome all breeds) that participates in National and State Appaloosa yearly championships. Our ApHC clients earn points through-out the year at ApHC shows, culminating in the National and World Youth Championships, typically held in late June of each year. ApHC showing clients travel to attend these prestigious championships, and every year Windemere riders and horses win National and World titles. Lesson and leased horses available for ApHC showing.
ARHA (American Ranch Horse Association) supports the versatile working ranch horse and Windemere competes regularly in ARHA shows. Many of our riders are cross-discipline, participating in both English and Western events. For our Western riders, ARHA show classes include Trail, Cutting, Boxing, Ranch Riding, Roping and Reining. Our stallion Frosty Ike is a sponsor of the ARHA and his get are successfully competing in ARHA events. ARHA showing requires horse ownership.
